Have been running to and from Shitney the last cuppla days in the truck....and some of the sights I have seen out in the distance along the ridges and down some of the valleys has been extroadinary to say the least. Had smoke all the way out to Orange from about the Northern road on the M4 this arvo.
There was a big lineup of ACT firies at Faulconbridge too ...all decked out ready for battle.

Had a look at the mess on Fires Near Me - there is a huge are burned out, pretty awesome

Our brigade is on standby to help out - hopefully it will settle down and they wont need us

Yep been a few fires about. One day we will be allowed to burn off again and reduce the hazard

It is all clear fire wise, but not sure what the campground looks like, there has been a steady stream of trucks an earthmoving gear heading out there, have not gotten around to turning off to check out what they are doing - might be worth ringing the Namadgi visitors Centre on 6207 2900
