Its a 86 mod dual cab hilux little 4cyl 5 speed
2in suspension lift and 2in body lift it now has some 33inc MTR's on it rear air locker.
Anyways some progression pics of whats happened to it over the time ive had it so far.

Image

This is the only one i could find from when i first bought it this was on my first trip out at that time it was on some 35inch muds and supercharged (which its not no more)

Image

This is when the new tyres came (31/10.5/15) and side steps as having small kids so they could try and get in and i painted the front bar from chrome to grey

Image

The way it stayed for a while

Image

Locker time

Image

Image

After a while and a lot more confindence and meeting new people to wheel with then started the carnage there is more carnage shots then that too

Image

Kids got older then started camping trips so a canopy was added to hold all the stuff in

Image

Another carnage day. Bring on the bar work now, so i setout to find some

First came the sidesteps/sliders

Image

which got modded

Image

Image

Then came bullbar

Image

Which was modded as well for the body lift

Image

while i was under it seen it needed a new exhaust

Image

How it stayed for a little while

Image

Then it was time for some new tyres so on went a set of 33inc Mtr's as the kids are bigger next set might be back to 35's

Image

Then i found a rear bar and thats about it for now

You've left out the latest mod which is killing the gearbox and fitting a new one.

looks like it rebuild the old one, thats running costs like oil changes and rego if i was putting a different or putting crawlers in then it would be a mod

good stuff at least you've driven it hard and had it a while
my short life with the pajero lasted 14months(still going "just") and now im a nissan guy.

toyota's always came out higher then most i reckon so thats a advantage (looks at the stock patrol in yard)

hope she last another 5 years ay ;)

hey mate,
i'm just wondering if it was necessary to do the 4 inch lift to get the 33" tires under the guards. also are you just running the standard hilux offset wheels???

oh ok the reason i ask is that in the comming months i am buying a hilux of similar year model. i've got a set of 33" coopers that dad had on his rig that i'm putting on so yer just sorta working out what lift if any and whether it will scrub...hopefully not. thanks for the input
