Good to see you getting out and about Macca.
Maybe an auto lokka in the front would be a good investment ?
Umm .... maybe not yours seems to like "roof riding" without them

Have to get together for a wheel sometime.

Yes we do have to get together and wheel, I am living over at Amberley now, just up the Road from "Scenic" :)

As for the locked front. I will be running this CIG locked Front until it breaks before looking for a hi-pinon and air locker.
I have not put it on the shiny side since I rebuilt it and dropped the body by 40mm. So fingers crossed it is still going stronger than ever.

Well I got recalled by work back early from leave to help with the Ipswich/Brisbane floods and that seemed to be a mission in its self. the only way into QLD from NSW was through Tenterfield/Casino. here are some photo's of me testing the new facilities at work.

While looking over my car I decided that the yokohama's had had their day and were to become trailer tires. So I ordered a new set of 35's and the morning that they came in at the shop I rang and the guy said he had forgotten to order them.... :(
He stated that he would have them in that arvo... :)

So I went for a play in the bush land near my house out at Ripley QLD...
One last one on the Yoko's

That arvo I went and picked up my new 35's x 12.5 x 15 Mickey Thompson MTZ's
Brought them home and removed the yoko's and put the MT's on by hand.

I have found that these are quieter on the road, there is not as much walking on the road due to thinker, stronger sidewalls. they were cheaper than the Yokohamas and they perform better in the bush than the yoko's across the board. But the yoko's were better in the mud and severly worse in the sand. but I have my Centipedes for the mud so as my road/allterrain tire these are the goods. the other option I looked at were the Wranglers but due to their new Kevlar tire they are extremely expensive.

And after getting stuck and testing out my hand winch decided that I would complete the question I have had for years now..... to weld or not to weld? that is the question.

I know it has been a while but work has been keeping me busy. I have not done any new work on the truck except fixed any things I have broken/rattled loose...

I have now moved down to Wagga Wagga with work so if you are near here you may see me around the area.

Didnt want to transport the Yokohamas with me so here is a very short Video and some photos of what happened to them. (the camera man was a friend who did not know how to operate the camera)
